Christine Malecki West, AIA, LEED-AP, Principal
Christine West is excited to be a part of the unique creative community that makes Providence special. As a believer in environmentally and economically sustainable urban neighborhoods, she is looking forward to completing renovations to a Victorian house in the beautiful Armory Historic District in Providence.
Christine was appointed by Mayor David Cicilline to the Providence Downcity Design Review Committee. Christine is currently President-Elect of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and has joined the Board of Trustees of the Providence Revolving Fund. Each year she also serves as a national AIA representative on visiting NAAB accreditation teams for professional schools of architecture.
Previously, after almost a decade of working as a registered architect in the Washington DC area, Christine returned to graduate school to pursue her interests in design management and sustainable design issues.
In 2008 Christine won the Providence Sustainable Housing Competition with her design for a green model house that meets affordability criteria and is available by the City of Providence to builders with incentives to redevelop lots throughout the city.
