AIAri Annual Meeting Featured Fellowship Lecture by William L. Kite, Jr. FAIA
The 2009 Annual Meeting of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects was held on November 17 and featured a lecture by KITE founder and Principal WIlliam L. Kite, Jr. FAIA in the award-winning Smith Buonanno Hall at Brown University entitled "Exploring the Built Environment - Highlights and Insights" The lecture celebrated his elevation to the College of Fellows of the AIA for Design.
The lecture has particular significance since Bill Kite was responsible for the design interior renovations and exterior restorations of Smith-Buonanno Hall, which is one of only four projects in Rhode Island ever to win a prestigious National Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects, and the only one to win in the category of Interior Architecture.
